So, about those Harmony Trailblazer Eidolons. Getting them was quite the journey, let me tell you. It wasn’t like pulling some fancy 5-star Eidolon, obviously, this was more about putting in the time, the actual grind.

First off, you gotta finish the main story bits for Penacony, right? That unlocks the Harmony path for the Trailblazer. Felt pretty cool, getting a new form and all. Then you look at the Eidolons… and realize, okay, these aren’t just handed out. You get the main materials, those ‘Shadows of Harmony’, mostly through the story progression itself, which is nice. One less thing to specifically farm day in and day out.
The Actual Effort
But it wasn’t just story stuff. You still needed the usual character ascension materials, trace materials, all that jazz. And the Eidolons themselves, while the core item came from the story or special shops sometimes, actually activating them meant getting the Trailblazer leveled up enough to even use them. My process basically looked like this:
- Finish the relevant story quests: This was the main gate for the specific Eidolon materials. Couldn’t skip this.
- Check rewards: Made sure I grabbed the ‘Shadows of Harmony’ from quest rewards, milestone rewards, wherever they popped up. There was that one special event shop too, had to make sure I cleared that out.
- Leveling the Trailblazer: This was the background task. Running Calyxes for character XP books and credits. Always need more credits, don’t we?
- Trace Materials: Farming the Bud of Harmony Calyx. Over and over. You know how it is. Gotta get those trace levels up to make the Eidolons really shine, especially the ones that boost the Ultimate or Skill levels.
- Ascension Materials: Hitting up whatever Stagnant Shadow dropped the right stuff for the Harmony Trailblazer. Felt like I lived there for a bit.
It wasn’t super hard, you know, just… repetitive. Like okay, today’s goal: run this Calyx ten times. Tomorrow: same thing, maybe a different one. It felt like ticking boxes off a checklist more than anything else. I remember thinking, “Is this E4 really gonna be worth another round of this?”
Why Bother?
But here’s the thing, the Harmony Trailblazer, especially with Eidolons, feels really solid. Especially for a free unit. Their whole deal is buffing the team based on breaking enemy weaknesses, the Super Break damage thing. And the Eidolons really lean into that.
I focused on getting them because, well, resources are tight! Building a new support character usually means pulling them first, then spending weeks or months farming. With the Trailblazer, the character is free, and the Eidolons are guaranteed through gameplay. It felt like a smart investment of my time and Trailblaze Power, rather than hoping for luck on a banner.

E1 gives some energy back, always nice for supports. E2 helps with energy for the team at the start of the battle. E4 gives the Trailblazer a Break Effect boost based on the team’s Break Effect, which is pretty neat for their whole kit. And E6 adds extra hits to their Ultimate, more toughness damage. Each step felt like a noticeable little power-up.
The Result?
Now that I’ve got them all, mostly E6 activated, yeah, it was worth the grind. The Harmony Trailblazer slots into teams really well, especially against enemies where you can reliably break their toughness. They make certain fights, especially in Pure Fiction or MoC, feel smoother because the team-wide buffing is pretty strong.
It wasn’t glamorous. It was just steady effort, logging in, spending the power, getting the materials bit by bit. But seeing the character perform better, seeing those bigger Super Break numbers pop up, that felt good. It’s satisfying building something up yourself, you know? Even if it’s just pixels in a game. So yeah, that was my experience getting the Harmony Trailblazer Eidolons. Took some time, took some repetitive farming, but the payoff felt decent in the end.
