Alright, let’s talk about Week 6 and Roschon Johnson. It’s become part of my Sunday ritual now, settling in, checking the early news, and then keeping an eye on my guys.

My Week 6 Process with Johnson
So, heading into Week 6, I had Johnson on my radar, like really closely. Remember, Khalil Herbert went down, right? That opened a door, or so I thought. My first step, always, is checking injury reports like a hawk. Thursday and Friday practice reports are key.
I saw Johnson got in some limited work early in the week after his concussion the week before. That immediately put me on alert. Is he gonna clear protocol? That was the big question hanging over everything.
- Step 1: Injury Watch. Pulled up all the usual sports news sites, refreshed Twitter feeds. Looking for any beat reporter updates on his concussion status. It’s tedious work, clicking refresh, scrolling, but you gotta do it.
- Step 2: Weighing Options. With Herbert out, the backfield was messy. You had Foreman there too. So, I started thinking, even if Johnson plays, what’s his share gonna look like? Is he the lead guy, or is it a nasty committee with Foreman? This is where you start guessing, really.
- Step 3: Game Day Decision Time. Sunday morning rolls around. Still murky. He was officially listed as questionable. This is the worst spot to be in as a fantasy manager, honestly. You gotta make a call. I remember pulling up the inactive lists right when they dropped, about 90 minutes before kickoff.
The Outcome for Me…
And boom, there it was. Johnson was inactive for Week 6. Didn’t clear the protocol in time. All that monitoring, all that thinking, and he didn’t even suit up. Frustrating? Yeah, a little. But that’s how it goes sometimes.
So, what did I do? Had to pivot fast. Luckily, I had another option stashed on my bench I could slot in. It wasn’t ideal, but better than taking a zero. It really highlighted how quickly things change in the league. One week a guy looks like a potential league winner, the next he’s in street clothes.

Ended up watching Foreman get the work that day. Made mental notes for the future, you know? How did Foreman look? How did the offense run without Herbert and Johnson? It all goes into the memory bank for next week’s decisions. Week 6 with Roschon was mostly a waiting game that ended with him on the sidelines. On to the next week, always looking forward.
