Okay, so I heard about this big fight coming up, Devin Haney vs Regis Prograis. Sounded like a really good matchup, you know? Two top guys. I thought, man, I gotta try and see this one live if I can. The atmosphere at these big fights is just something else.

Starting the Hunt
So, the first thing I did was hop on my computer. Pulled up my browser and started searching around. You know the drill, checking the usual places you’d expect to find tickets for big events. Typed in the fight details, looking for where they were officially selling them.
Right off the bat, it wasn’t super straightforward. Seemed like maybe the first batch of tickets went instantly, or perhaps there were special pre-sales I missed. It’s always a bit confusing with these things. The main official seller site seemed pretty much cleared out whenever I looked.
Checking Other Spots
Alright, plan B. I started looking at those other sites, the ones where people resell tickets. And wow, the prices were just nuts. Seriously, way more than I was expecting or really willing to pay. People really try to make a killing on these things. It kind of puts you off, you know?
I spent a decent amount of time just clicking around, comparing what was listed. It felt like:
- Refreshing pages over and over.
- Seeing tickets pop up and disappear just as fast.
- Trying to figure out if seats listed were even legitimate.
- Getting a bit frustrated with the whole process.
I even poked around some boxing forums online, asked a few buddies if they knew anyone who might have gotten tickets and couldn’t go. Sometimes you get lucky that way, but no dice this time around. Everyone was either keeping their tickets or didn’t manage to get any either.

The Decision
After a few days of looking and seeing those crazy resale prices not really coming down, I just decided, nah. It wasn’t worth the stress or the money they were asking. It just felt unreasonable. I love boxing, but there’s a limit, right?
So, I figured the next best thing is getting some friends together, ordering some food, and watching it from home. Make our own atmosphere. It’s not quite the same as being there live, feeling the crowd roar, but it’s way better than shelling out a fortune or missing the fight entirely.
It’s just how it goes sometimes with these massive events. Getting tickets is a mission in itself. Still looking forward to watching the fight though, should be a good one!
