Getting Down to Brass Tacks with Lulu
Alright, so I spent a good while really trying to nail down who feels best with Lulu in the bot lane. You know, you see her picked, people talk about hypercarries, but I wanted to feel it out myself, game after game.

I started where everyone usually does: the big late-game monsters. First up was Kog’Maw. Yeah, no surprise, when this combo gets going, it’s nuts. Felt like late game was almost a guaranteed win if we didn’t completely mess up early. But man, that early game could be rough. We got pushed in a lot, poked down hard sometimes. If the enemy jungler showed up, we just kinda… died. Needed a lot of help surviving the first 10-15 minutes.
Then I tried Twitch. This one felt… sneaky good. Lulu’s speed boost on him when he popped out of stealth? Super strong for catching people off guard. His R combined with Lulu’s R and buffs was also pretty devastating in team fights. Still a bit squishy early, like Kog, but the surprise factor felt really impactful. Had some really good games with this pairing.
Jinx was next on the list. Similar story to Kog’Maw, really. Awesome late game scaling, loves the attack speed and peel. The polymorph is great for stopping divers jumping on her. Felt a bit safer than Kog early on because of her traps and Zap, but still preferred getting to late game. Solid, reliable, but maybe a bit predictable?
I even messed around with stuff that wasn’t pure hypercarry.
- Tried Lucian for a bit. That was aggressive! His dashes plus Lulu’s speed and shield made for some crazy trades. Polymorphing the enemy ADC when Lucian went in felt really good. But, it felt like we had to win lane hard, or we’d get outscaled later. High risk, high reward kinda thing.
- What about Caitlyn? Thought the range plus Lulu poke would be annoying. It was… okay. Sometimes felt like the buffs weren’t used as much early, she just wanted to auto-poke from afar. Didn’t feel as explosive as the others.
- Vayne? Honestly, kinda similar to Kog/Jinx. Loves the peel, loves the attack speed. Maybe a bit harder to execute because Vayne needs to get closer. Felt strong if the Vayne player was really good, but less forgiving.
So, What Stuck?
After all those games, grinding it out, here’s what felt best to me:

Kog’Maw is probably the strongest on paper, especially if you trust your team to play around you and get you through the early game. When he gets items and Lulu keeps him alive and fast, it’s just melts everything. Pure power.
But my personal favorite ended up being Twitch. That synergy with his stealth and Lulu’s speed boost just created so many opportunities. It felt more proactive, like we could make plays happen ourselves rather than just waiting to scale. The surprise factor is huge.
So yeah, that was my journey. Lots of trial and error, lots of feeding sometimes, lots of carrying other times. For me, it boiled down to Kog for raw power and Twitch for sneaky plays. Your mileage might vary, of course, depends on how you like to play!
