So, I heard the names Canseco and Jessica pop up again the other day. Jose Canseco and his ex, Jessica. It got me thinking, what’s the deal with them now? Curiosity got the better of me, I guess.

I started digging around online a bit. You know how it is, you type a name in, see what comes up. It wasn’t straightforward. Mostly old news clippings, stuff about their reality show appearances ages ago, the books they wrote. Lots of noise, really.
My little search mission
I spent maybe an hour just clicking links. One page led to another. Found some stuff about Jose’s baseball career, then his weird Twitter stuff. Then back to Jessica, her own life after him, her business ventures maybe? It was all scattered.
- First, I looked for just basic updates.
- Then I got sidetracked by some old interview clips.
- Ended up reading about other celebrity couples from that era too.
It’s funny how you go looking for one thing and end up miles away. Didn’t find anything particularly earth-shattering, just the usual celebrity drama cycle, rehashed.
Why I even bothered looking
Honestly? I was just killing time. It was raining cats and dogs last Tuesday, couldn’t go out, work was slow. I was scrolling through my phone, saw an old sports clip, and boom, Canseco’s name came up. That sent me down the rabbit hole.
It reminded me of how much time we can waste following people we don’t even know. I remember back when I had that awful temp job sorting mail. Mind-numbing work. To pass the time, I used to read all the gossip magazines people threw out. I knew everything about celebs back then. Pointless, right?

Thinking back, it’s crazy. All that energy spent on strangers’ lives. That day stuck inside, looking up the Cansecos, it felt just like that again. A total time suck. Made me think I should’ve just organized my sock drawer or something actually useful.
Anyway, that was my little adventure into the past. Didn’t really learn much new about Canseco or Jessica, just got reminded how easy it is to get lost online looking at stuff that doesn’t really affect your own life. Weird how the brain works sometimes.
