Alright, let’s talk about this Max Holloway flag thing. I’ve followed Holloway for years, love his style, the whole ‘Blessed Era’ vibe. He’s just a class act. So, a while back, I decided I really wanted to get one of those Hawaiian flags like he carries out to the octagon. Felt like the right way to show some support, you know?

Finding the Flag
First step, obviously, was hitting the web. I started searching everywhere. Looked on Amazon, eBay, specialty flag sites. Typed in all sorts of stuff: ‘Hawaiian state flag’, ‘Max Holloway walkout flag’, everything I could think of. Found plenty of flags, sure, but lots looked kinda flimsy, or the reviews weren’t great. Plus, some places wanted crazy money for shipping, or it would take weeks to arrive. I wasn’t about that wait.
So, I thought, okay, maybe I can find one locally. I drove around town a bit. Checked out a couple of those big box stores, the ones with party supplies. Nothing. Found one specialty flag store tucked away in a weird plaza, went in there. They had tons of flags, really cool stuff, but no Hawaiian flag in the size I wanted. The guy offered to order one, but again, it was gonna take time.
Getting It Done
Went back online, feeling a bit frustrated. I dug deeper this time, really reading descriptions and checking seller locations. Finally, I found a seller that seemed decent. The pictures looked good, the material was listed as something durable, not that super thin stuff. And crucially, they were based in the US, so shipping wouldn’t take forever. I clicked ‘buy’, paid the price, and crossed my fingers.
The waiting part wasn’t too bad, actually. Took maybe four or five days? I remember getting the notification it was delivered while I was at work. Rushed home a bit faster that day, not gonna lie.
The Result
Opened the package up. There it was. The flag felt pretty solid. Good colors, stitched edges looked okay. It was just a standard Hawaiian flag, nothing fancy, but it was exactly what I was picturing when Holloway walks out.

I didn’t plan on doing much with it. Some people weather them or whatever, but nah. I just wanted the flag. I took it out to the garage, where I watch the fights sometimes or just hang out. Found a good spot on the wall, cleared some space. Used a couple of push pins, nothing complicated. Got it hung up there.
Simple as that, really. But the whole process of hunting it down, ordering it, waiting for it… made it feel like a small accomplishment. Now, whenever I see it hanging there, it’s a cool reminder. Makes watching his fights feel a bit more connected. Definitely glad I went through the trouble to get it.
