OK, let’s talk about this whole WWE Damage Control thing. I’ve been following it for a while, and man, it’s been a wild ride.
So, I first heard about Damage CTRL, or Damage Control, whatever they’re calling it, back when Bayley started it up in, like, July 2022. It was her, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky. I remember thinking, “This could be interesting.” And it was, at least for a bit.
I watched as they wrestled on Raw, did their thing. They even got those Women’s Tag Team titles a few times. Good for them, I guess. But then things started getting weird.
I kept seeing people online talking about the name, Damage CTRL. Dakota Kai explained in some interview, on WWE’s The Bump I think, that it was about “control”. Okay, sure, whatever floats your boat.
Then, all of a sudden, they booted Bayley! I read somewhere that it happened after she won that Royal Rumble thing in 2024. I guess they didn’t need her anymore? Or maybe she had other stuff going on, who knows.
- I saw this thing about WarGames in November. They were going strong then, beating everyone. I even found some tags about it online: Damage CTRL, Damage Control, What Comes Next. People were into it.
- Then, they brought in Kairi Sane and Asuka. That was a surprise. I saw Asuka do that crazy mist thing to Belair. That was messed up, but hey, it’s wrestling.
- I remember reading comments online, people saying Damage Control should have been like Evolution or the Shield, you know, super dominant. Some people were really into them.
I also learned that there’s some other meaning to “damage control,” like on ships or something? Not really my thing, but interesting I guess.
More recently, I heard they turned “face” – that’s when the bad guys become good guys, right? This was on Raw, and they started fighting with Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Sonya Deville. Then, I saw a report that Dakota Kai got injured again and needed surgery. That’s gotta suck.
Honestly, I don’t know what to think about Damage Control anymore. It’s been a rollercoaster. They’ve had their ups and downs, changed members, won some titles, lost some… It’s all over the place. I’ll probably keep watching, though, just to see what they do next. It’s like a car crash, you can’t look away.
