So, I got my hands on WWE 2K23 the other day, as soon as it dropped on March 14. I’ve been hyped about this game for a while now. I dived right into it and, guess what? I found myself playing a lot as Liv Morgan. Her real name is Gionna Jene Daddio, and she was born in Paramus, just like me.
Now, I know some folks online have been saying she’s a bit repetitive in the ring, like she’s got her five or six go-to moves and that’s it. And yeah, I get that. I’ve watched a bunch of her recent matches and it kinda is the same few moves over and over. But in the game, it’s a different story.
I started messing around with her move set, trying out different combos. You can really get creative with it. I mean, the roster in WWE 2K23 is huge, right? You got superstars from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and even some powerful legends. I was going through the list, checking out everyone’s ratings, from the highest to the lowest.
Liv’s overall rating is decent, and I found it pretty fun to play as her. I also tried playing as Katana Chance. Her rating is on the lower side, but her moveset is really interesting and enjoyable.

- Then, I picked a match type – just a standard one-on-one to get a feel for her moves.
- I started with some basic strikes, you know, punches, and kicks to see how she handles.
- After that, I moved on to some grapple moves. I tried a few different ones to see what her animations looked like.
- I made sure to test out her signature and finishing moves. They’re pretty cool to watch.
- I even experimented with some high-flying moves off the top rope. Liv’s got some good ones.
Honestly, it’s been a blast playing as Liv. I’ve been mixing up her moves, creating my own combos, and it doesn’t feel repetitive at all. It’s cool to see how you can take a character that some people think is limited and make them your own in the game.
The rumors about Brock Lesnar’s 97 overall rating are true, by the way. He’s a beast in the game, just like in real life. But for now, I’m sticking with Liv. It’s been fun discovering new ways to play as her and seeing what she can really do in the virtual ring.
I’ll keep playing and experimenting. There are so many characters to try out, so many matches to play. This game is keeping me hooked, and I can’t wait to see what else I can discover with Liv and the rest of the WWE 2K23 roster.
